Before this weekend, whenever anyone brought up the Library of Congress National Book Festival, I would sheepishly have to admit I’d never been. Looks of shock and disbelief were the usual response, and I’d give a lame spiel about not wanting to brave the large crowds on the National Mall in extreme heat or rain….
